This book was in the snow section of our library. I was expecting to read a Chinese story that took place in the snow. It's much more than that.
This story is about a little boy named Xiao Ming. His mother takes him outside in the snow to enjoy nature and while enjoying snow activities they learn Chinese characters by writing them in the snow with a stick and talking about what each character looks like.
At the beginning and end of the book the words discussed in the book are shown with comparison drawings.
The author also included pronunciation.
Austyn really enjoyed reading this book and decided to attempt making the characters on his own on a piece of paper.
