Book Sharing Monday

I just love the Let's-Read-And-Find-Out Science Series books. I may have featured one of them on Book Sharing Monday in the past. Floating in Space by Franklyn M. Branley really puts the reader into the experience of being an astronaut in space. The reader gets a very detailed idea of how an astronaut would eat or go to the bathroom in space. They learn about where they sleep and the type of work they do. Also there is a great description illustrating how the shuttle prepares for re-entering the earths atmosphere. These are just some of the things a young astronaut needs to know. What a great book to read before seeing a shuttle launch or visiting a space center or museum!
