Poor Butterfly!
Our poor butterfly! When it decided to come out of it's chrysalis we were away at swimming. It fell to the bottom of the jar and got stuck there. By the time I found it the wings were almost dry and they didn't unfold properly. Regardless of it's condition we let it go in the garden (which is where we found it). We know that this butterfly is a female. Males have more yellow and less blue. "Mental Note... for next time... Move chrysalis to the butterfly house. It is much more safe of an environment for a butterfly to emerge on it's own.
“Happiness is like a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you”, Nathaniel Hawthorne
