What a great party! The ladies in charge did such an amazing job! There was a balloon fight, games, food (pot luck), and a craft. The kids had a great time!!

Halloween Snacks (updated)

These are "Open Ghost Sandwiches". It's a piece of bread with cream cheese spread on it. We cut them with a fish cookie cutter and added raisin eyes to look like a ghost. This is a trial run. I didn't know for sure if they'd stay good overnight so I'm going to make them tomorrow morning.

Okay... I remembered that I had a pizza cutter somewhere and I dug it up to see if it would be easier to make the ghosts. It is! So this morning I made the remainder of ghosts with the pizza cutter. I didn't get a good picture of the finished ghosts (the last picture is the best I have). They turned out nice and were a hit!

This is What my Kids do when I Don't Get Our Laundry Folded!!!

What subject would this be? LOL!!!

Notice the hole in her stockings. This was suppose to be thrown away, but she found them and insisted on wearing them. I threw them away tonight after she got them all dirty. I hope she isn't too upset, but I couldn't bare to see her wear them anymore. They are three sizes too small and have big holes.  At least she'll have this picture to remember how much she loved them. LOL!!

Art in the Park!

We brought a snack. It was such nice weather today. I'm so glad we got out of the house to enjoy it.

I think the little ant wanted some.

These bright red vines on the trees with black berries were very interesting.

I thought this looked like sparks or wires.

I think this view of this plant looks like a monkey. I felt like being creative today! I felt inspired by a book I just read (The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra).

It was so mild that any of the insects still alive were out and about.

I thought that the way these leaves hung reminded me of something. Maybe fish drying in the sun?

We are still seeing flowers. I am amazed by the resilience of Canadian flowers.

I was obsessed with this twisted vine. It's so cool what we find when we look close.

Austyn found something. We didn't identify it. He thought it was a spiders nest and I thought it was a fluffy sort of seed.

We "see-saw" a spider!

Austyn's picture of a stick and some grass.

The bottom picture here is a flower. I'll have to ask Zoe again what the top one is.

I forgot to add my picture. I don't think it's near as important as their pictures in a homeschool blog. I wanted to make sure that I started to do art with them. They love when I am fully involved and doing the same things as they are. I feel like I don't get a chance to be creative anymore. I love that it gives me a chance to express my creativity and still spend time with my kids. I do however have to thank a new homeschooling mom in our area who does a blog (Alex). She has inspired me to be more creative with my kids and to get this blog going. I'm so grateful for the inspirations that appear around us everyday to give us guidance and help us find our unique talents and happiness.
