Here in Southern Canada, the snow falls a bit later compared to most other Canadian locations.
This is another picture illustrating the difference in my kids from a small urban back yard that they never wanted to go out in alone to this huge open space that they are drawn out into.

Having lots of space to play makes quite a difference! My son is also more inclined to get outdoors when there is more to explore. :)
