Exploring the Backyard.

This shows our gourds dried and ready to shake out the seeds.

This is our old Nile project.

This is our garden with some compost piled on it.

This is a close up of some plants growing under the leaves and snow in the garden.

The kids picked some of the green leaves and tasted them. It looks like parsley.

Austyn found a maple key on the ground.

When picking up things on the lawn we found a slug under an old pot.

These are some pumpkins we kept to collect the seeds from.

The kids are looking at our sunflowers. This one managed to keep some seeds that the yellow finches didn't eat.

Here is a close up of the seeds.

Zoe picked one.

Exploring the backyard can be so educational. Just in a matter of minutes look at what we found!

“Though earth is one, the plants vary depending on the seeds sown. The womb of mother symbolizes mother earth. As is the seed of thought sown in it, so is the fruit it yields.” ~ Sri Sathya Sai Baba
