We went to a small commercial airport with our homeschool group. We learned about different types of airplanes, what it takes to be a pilot, and got to go in the airplanes parked there. We walked to the historical society and learned about planes in history. There was a large famous bomber there that is getting restored. We also went to the fire station at the airport and saw inside the extra large fire trucks and learned what kinds of emergencies they have had. They did an amazing job of their tour!
