Settling In

Things are getting done! Our belongings are finding permanent places, organized in our home. We purchased trees and planted them in the yard, even though we still don't have grass yet. The builder has finished paving our driveway. Everyone seems to be settling in. It's been a month since we've moved here and I think we've progressed along quickly, compared to other moves.

We are getting use to the new sounds in our home and the sounds of construction outside. The kids are meeting friends in the neighbourhood.

I've been taking a break from unpacking and spending more time with the kids.

I'm trying to follow their lead most of the time and incorporating a little time for Austyn to read to me. In the above two pictures the kids are making Egyptian , embossed, copper bracelets. This project came with A Book of Artrageous Projects by Klutz Editors.

Some of our extra-curricular activities are done or have had breaks so it has given us more time together than normal, without having to worry about running out to get somewhere. The great thing about this is that we can do the things we like. For example, we can make homemade vegan sushi for lunch! Yum!!!

Thanks :)
