Earth Day - Another Park Day

These pictures don't show how good the turn-out was of this park day. It was the first one in that area. We drove over to it. It's not the park day we normally attend. There were 5 families from our group and another family who were just there and didn't even know there was a homeschool event happening there.  It's always nice to get out to other parks and events when we can.

Sports - Soccer

Soccer started. This is Zoe's first day of Soccer EVER. She just stood around and walked around. I remember Austyn's first day. He ran all over the place and didn't even try to get the ball. He just smiled and ran in circles. It's funny how different kids can be.

This is Austyn's first game this season. It is amazing to watch how he has progressed over his three years of playing this sport.

Friends!

Zoe loves to have friends over. She has many friends and seems to have the type of personality that makes her the type of kid who gets along great with others. She set up a blanket and teddy bears to watch a movie with her friend and then we made a blanket tent and they set up a bed inside it. She got some library books and started to pretend to read her friend stories. She is going to be a great reader!

Getting Outside!

It's so wonderful to be able to get outside everyday. I love spring! These pictures are at our neighbours house. Zoe's friend has a trampoline.

Our First Homeschool Park Day of the Season!

These are some of the things we saw at the park. One of the kids caught a minnow.

This is Alex from the Serendipity Homeschool Blog. She's poised with her camera in hand.

Abandoned Shoes to feel the coldness of the water between the toes.

Exploring the creek and trying to catch fish.

Exploring the beach.

Exploring the Rocks.

Snack time!

Orion meets Minnie Mouse.

Play time with more homeschool friends.

Epcot Fun!

These dinosaur pictures are from the exhibit with Ellen Degeneres Bill Nye The Science Guy on Energy.

This was a fun game where the kids carried around a big cute piggy bank and they learned how to earn and save money for a goal that they set. Austyn chose a vacation and Zoe chose a bedroom make over as a goal.

While waiting to talk to Crush from Finding Nemo we got up close to some sea creatures.

We explored the aquarium.  It was very large.

We took a tour that taught us about the earth and how people are finding ways to grow animals and plants on it with little or no harm to the environment.

This is a special floor area where you can stand on strange instrument boxes and listen to the sounds of the instruments. It was a great place to blow off some steam.

It was a very long day!!

Tie Dye Fun!

Funny faces and some snacks while we wait to tie dye some t-shirts.

Zoe chose a Mickey Mouse design and Austyn wanted a colourful Swirl design.

 Here are the shirts finished.
