Book Sharing Monday

A Visitor for Bear by Bonny Becker is a book that my kids mention again and again. With it's witty story and pictures to match. Their attention is grabbed from the moment I start to read. They likely can relate to the bear, who has a routine and likes to be alone, but keeps finding a mouse in his house and getting him to leave. It is clear that although someone may be stuck in their ways they may someday grow to realize that what is most important to them is "company of another".

We have also read A Birthday for Bear by the same author.

It's a similar story where Bear doesn't want to celebrate his birthday. Instead he is content to just clean the house, but his mouse friend has other ideas.

LOL - the bear sounds like me! How cute. I'm going to have to see if our library has this book.
